"I am an educationalist specialising in Māori Medium, and have spent the last 20 years revitalising traditional Māori language, customs and cultural understandings within my whānau/family. I am currently developing 'Te Mana o te Whānau' a set of principles that utilises traditional Māori cultural knowledges and understandings with the aim to further empower other likeminded whānau/family.
I also focus on Māori student success and what this looks like to them, intimately understanding the necessity of ensuring that 'students see themselves' within the teaching and learning that occurs around them.
Through the use of digital technologies/hangarau matihiko the longevity of Māori knowledges and understandings are further guaranteed."
