As Digital Technology & Hangarau Matihiko make their entrance into the curriculum, we need to consider not only how to develop computational thinking and learning to code but also how students can take account of technology’s “impact on cultural, ethical, environmental and economic conditions”. In this hands-on session we will provide an opportunity to explore how you might plan an engaging project that incorporates these elements, that is responsive to your local context and allows students to choose their own pathway. You’ll then be able to use this unit with your own students.
