Lisa Highfill describes herself as a thinker, philosopher, debater, and geek. She was a classroom teacher for over twenty years, and is currently Pleasanton Unified School District’s technology integration specialist. Working in the ed tech field since 1998 when she earned her Master's Degree in Ed Tech Leadership, she went on to become a Google Certified Innovator, a YouTube Star Teacher, a Merit Fellow, and a Leading Edge Digital Educator. Lisa is the co-creator and co-author of The HyperDoc Handbook and Teachers Give Teachers. 
Spotlight Speakers
Anthony Speranza is a Certified Google for Education Trainer and Innovator, the 2014 DLTV Educator of the Year as awarded by Digital Learning and Teaching Victoria, and a 2017 ‘New Voice’ in Educational Leadership Scholar as awarded by the Australian Council for Educational Leaders.

In his role as the ICT Learning & Teaching Leader at St. Mark’s Primary School in Dingley Victoria, Anthony has established several digital several digital literacy initiatives, developed cybersafety programs, and introduced a range of technologies for Learning & Teaching including Google Suite for Education and Chromebooks. He works across the school with all students, and leads teachers to leverage technology to its full potential.

 
Michael is a Google Certified Trainer & Innovator, having participated in the #SYD17 cohort. A Canadian, he has been teaching in New Zealand schools for the past six years. Prior to teaching in New Zealand, he was a teacher in London, UK and Seoul, Korea. He is constantly looking for ways to improve his teaching and make it more learner-centered. Michael is working for Matua Ngaru School in its first year of existence as a Lead Learning Coach in charge of STEAM.
After stints in the US, Europe and Asia, Suan moved to Australia in 2008 to head up Google’s Enterprise SMB business for Asia-Pacific. 6 years ago, he took on the challenge of starting the Education business unit for the region. This has proved to be his most challenging yet rewarding effort to date. He lives by the motto “It’s our turn to change the world”, and works tirelessly with educators and administrators to enable more effective teaching and learning with technology. “It’s all about the students, and everything we do in Education needs to be driving towards better learning outcomes for the next generation of users.” When not being “up in the air”, Suan resides in Sydney where he enjoys the 300 days of sunshine a year with his awesome wife and two wonderful kids, both currently in a Montessori primary school.

I've been a teacher since 2000 and taught in a range of schools having spent 9 years teaching overseas. Since 2011 I have been working in an Inquiry Learning programme at Tauranga Boys' College where I am also the Specialist Classroom Teacher. I am a Google Certified Trainer and try to help other teachers get the best out of digital tools.
Kia ora, my name is Toni. I have recently left teaching to work for a MOE funded business called Digital Circus who specialises in working with schools to upskill educators in all things digital! I have 5 years teaching experience working with Years 1-6. I have completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Digital and Collaborative learning and now completing my Masters where I am exploring the elements that support and motivate teachers to embrace the new digital technologies curriculum. I have a passion for 21st century learning design, growth mindset and enhancing learning with digital technologies.
I am a Science teacher in Whangarei, with a passion for biology, Earth and space science and the environment. I also lead the push to embrace digital learning, training staff and students in the use of GSuite, as well as finding other cool tools to play with.
I am one of the leaders of the New Zealand Google Educators Group (GEG) and a Google Certified Innovator (Sydney 2013)
Karen is a Google Certified Innovator (#SYD17) in her 6th year of teaching. She is currently the Digital Lead teacher at Lynmore Primary School in Rotorua, New Zealand. This year she is teaching in a Play Based Learning environment with a Year 1/2 class. Karen is a Seesaw ambassador and uses iPads to capture the learning as well as encourage learners to create and extend their thinking.
From a background of 8 years’ secondary physics and science teaching in the UK, Middle East and in Aotearoa New Zealand, Clive has developed a passion for the use of technologies to support learning. Clive joined CORE in August 2015 and to December 2018 he was a full time member of the Connected Learning Advisory team providing consistent, unbiased advice and guidance to help schools integrate digital technologies for learning. Clive has been an accredited facilitator since 2017 and has played a part in developing the digital readiness programme, Kia Takatū. 
 
Danni teaches year 7 and 8 children at Pt England school in Auckland, New Zealand. She works in a 5 teacher space and her students are 1:1 with Chromebooks. She took part in the Manaiakalani Digital Teaching Academy and she is currently part of Manaiakalani Class onAir.
I am an educator originally from Auckland (moved to Taumarunui in Dec 2018) that has been teaching for almost 7 years. I am interested and passionate about all things digital and technology. I have up skilled myself in every area I possibly can to be able to make positive changes within the classroom, share ideas with other educators and give back to people across the world. Some smaller achievements are Seesaw Ambassador, Google Level 1/2 educator, Google Trainer and hold 6 qualifications in teaching. My recent achievement is having my own website www.mrspriestleyict.com where I share loads of tips, resources and ideas for teachers anywhere! I share lots of freebies as well for those teachers who struggle financially to purchase resources.
Rachel is a Google Certified Trainer with over 20 years experience in primary education in New Zealand and the UK. She is currently the Deputy Principal at Wainui Beach School in Gisborne, New Zealand.
Rachel loves sharing her experiences and lifelong learning ambitions with other educators. She works with schools to streamline the workload of educators and empower learners to lead their own learning journey.
Fakaalofa lahi atu and greetings everyone. My name is Carol Heka and I work at Tamaki College. I am the teacher in charge of Food Technology and Catering and Hospitality.
Fiona is a new member of the AsiaPAC Texthelp team, formerly an Assistant Principal and Assistive Technology Advisor for the Department of Education in New South Wales. She holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education and has worked across primary and secondary settings in NSW and Victoria for more than 30 years. Over that time, Fiona has been an avid user of technology to support the teaching and learning needs of the diverse range of students in her classrooms. Extending that role further by guiding and supporting other educators embarking on their own technology adventures.
I've been a teacher of secondary science and physics for 16 years. I'm currently employed by Waikato University as a facilitator in the areas of nature of science, digital technologies and digital fluency. I'm a bit of a tech geek and a gamer, and I love working with digital tools.
I am a former classroom teacher now facilitating professional learning and saving teachers time though founding Share With Us a resource sharing directory, group and membership. I am passionate about digital fluency, digital technologies, innovative learning and sharing great resources. I am an Apple Professional Learning Specialist, Google Educator and an MOE accredited facilitator. I love to work with teachers on practical hands on supports for you and your students.
Clarelle is a teacher at Pt England school in Auckland, New Zealand. She has a class of year 3 this year and she teaches in a 2 teacher modern learning environment. Her class is a 1-1 digital learning environment using Ipads and Google Apps to support learning. She is currently part of Manaiakalani Class onAir. She also has a number of professional roles sharing her innovative practices and inquiring her teaching practice.
 
I have been a teacher for ten years in Auckland and have my Google Educator Level 2. I like to adaptable, innovative and flexible. I have taught Years 0-6 and believe that it is essential for teachers willing to refine our teaching practice and be confident with ICT. I have a passion for creating a fun and exciting classroom environment to engage students and am open to new ideas to use with students.
Kia ora! I am the Head of Technology at a high school in Auckland, New Zealand, Tāmaki College, where I also teach Digital Technologies to 12-18 year olds. I have developed a Visible Teaching and Learning Framework, aptly named VTaL, based on the pedagogical practices of Learn, Create and Share.
Jan-Marie Kellow is a facilitator at the University of Waikato’s Institute of Professional Learning. She works with teachers and leaders in New Zealand schools to improve outcomes for learners. Jan-Marie comes from a long background of primary school teaching and is passionate about inquiry-based learning, future-focused learning pedagogies and using digital technologies for learning. She loves the creative possibilities that coding opens up for learners.
Andrea Tapsell
Andrea is in her 17th year of teaching. She has been the digital leader at Lynmore School for 10 years and is one the Digital Leaders of the Rotorua East Across School Cluster group. This year she is teaching a Year 5/6 class in a 1 to 1 iPad environment. She is a Seesaw and Nearpod ambassador. Andrea uses iPads to capture the learning as well as encourage learners to create and extend their thinking.
