The 4th Annual EdTechTeam Capital Region Summit featuring Google for Education will be held at Guilderland High School on April 21 & 22, 2018. Guilderland High School provides a comprehensive and challenging program that ensures that students will be successful in advanced educational studies, the work force or other post-graduate plans.
High school and college level courses provide students with many opportunities to develop and hone their skills, attitudes, and knowledge. Students may strive to obtain a major in any of the academic areas, elective disciplines such as art or music, or in occupational studies. They may earn AP and/or college credit in each major discipline. Guilderland High School has a broad array of more than 300 core courses and electives as well as increasing numbers of GHS students earn college credit through participation in several advanced placement and Syracuse University Project Advance (SUPA) courses. Currently, the high school offers five SUPA and twelve AP courses. They place an emphasis on professional development and curriculum work as vital components of our educational program.
Guilderland Central School District is a Google Apps For Education (GAFE) District with 1:1 Chromebook classrooms at the High School, the Middle School and currently piloting a 1:1 at 5th grade in the Elementary level. Our Schools are equipped with Computer labs, laptop carts, Chromebook carts at the Middle and High School and iPad carts at the elementary schools.

Guilderland, NY is a town located about 5 minutes outside of the city of Albany. It sits and Guilderland is readily accessible from, and offers access to, all locations within the region and beyond. Interstate highway interchanges in or near Guilderland offer easy routes to Boston, Syracuse and Buffalo on I-90, to New York City and Montreal on I-87, and to Binghamton and the Southern Tier on I-88. Passenger rail service is provided at the nearby Amtrak stations in Schenectady and Albany/Rensselaer, and the expanded and upgraded Albany International Airport is a short drive from anywhere in Guilderland.
