Join us in this workshop to get a walkthrough of setting up a class, adding students, posting resources, taking attendance by posing a question, connecting with students, adding assignments and tracking student progress. This 60 minute workshop will get you up to speed with Google Classroom so you are ready to begin connecting with your students.

Google Classroom (Intermediate +) for Distance Learning - Google Classroom is a great starting point for your new responsibilities for Distance Learning. Come to the class with the basics of setting up classes and assignments so that we can take your usage to the next level. This session is packed with tips and tricks to save you time, keep your digital life organized, increase student engagement and differentiate lessons. Making the transition from a traditional paper classroom to a digital one can be overwhelming, but you will walk away having a great grasp on what is possible with Google Classroom as well as a list of Apps that will integrate with Classroom.

How to Use Google Meet for Distance Learning - Connecting with your students and your colleagues during distance learning is vital. This is raising concerns and questions about privacy, rules and regulations, as well as how to overcome virtual classroom management challenges. In this session we are walking you through step-by-step on how to get started with Google Meet, addressing your concerns, and showing you how to incorporate protocols and management techniques necessary to effectively teach through video conferencing for distance learning.

Tools for Check-Ins with Your Students
As Distance/Remote learning has become the new norm for classrooms worldwide, the number one question teachers are asking is, "how do I know how my students are doing?" In this design session, we will experiment and experience different check-in strategies and tools together, with a special emphasis on equity and emotional intelligence.
Ideally, join by desktop and have a mobile device handy for experimenting with the different tools. If you only have one of those devices, please join however you can, but get ready to walk away with powerful tech tools you can incorporate right away.
