In this presentation John showcases how to implement a research based formative assessment system- gradual release of responsibility framework (Fisher & Frey, 2008) - using G Suite. No formative assessment system can compensate for poor instruction. This framework, coupled with technology infused pedagogy, provides teachers with a way to take action on student performance data at the end of each Stage of the feedback, feed-up and feed-forward cycle. Benefiting from this G Suite powered formative assessment system students clearly understand lesson's purpose and goal, are given instant information about their successes and needs, and experience high-quality interactive instruction that closes the gap between what they know and can do and what is expected of them.
