Jardine is the newest elementary school in the Topeka Public Schools. It is centered around a STEAM focus. There are approximately 700 students in a PK-5 environment. Jardine is part of a district 1:1 technology initiative. K-2 utilize iPads and 3-5 are issued Chromebooks. The school has 4 discovery areas for student exploration. Jardine instruction incorporates Project Based Learning techniques for students.  Instructional staff have been trained in PBL by the Buck Institute. Topeka Public Schools is an urban school district with over 14,000 students. Topeka Public Schools was one of the first Google Apps for Education districts. They began their partnership with Google in 2004.

Washburn University is located in the center part of the city. Topeka is the location of the historic Brown vs. Topeka Board of Education Supreme Court ruling stating that “separate but equal” was unconstitutional.

Topeka is located at the juncture of Interstate 70 and Interstate 35. 
 
Parking
There are 2 large parking lots located on the west and south sides of the building, and a smaller lot on the north side.
